WIS Anchor Angie Goff to depart Columbia for Washington, DC

Columbia, SC seems to be a spring board for young, aspiring, and may SCHotline.com add attractive female journalists.

Angie Goff, WIS-TV (NBC-Columbia)’s Weekend Anchor is set to leave Columbia for W-USA TV (CBS-Washington) on November 1^st.

Angie will trade in her reporter’s notebook to be the traffic anchor in one of the nation’s best market’s with some of the nation’s worst traffic.

Earlier this year, WLTX’s former Anchor Ainsley Earhardt debuted on FOX News Channel after a stint in San Antonio, TX.

SCHotline.com sends its best wishes to Angie and congratulates her not only on her promotion, but also on her recent engagement to Robert Ellis of Columbia.

SCHotline.com is now taking guesses on who the next Columbia reporter to leave the midlands will be…

Craig Melvin (WIS), Nat Roers (WLTX), and Jennifer Tomazic (WLTX) are early favorites along with Maggie Alexander (WIS), Caroline Love (WACH), and Derrec Becker (WOLO).

congradulations on your engagement angie !!! i must say , he is a VERY lucky guy. i will really miss seeing you on WIS. hope you will drop a line every now and then. you are still my favorite. you are so very sweet, im sure you will do very well in washington DC. hurry home. be safe.
