Lexington County Young Republicans sponsoring a debate for State Senate District 23

The Lexington County Young Republicans are sponsoring a 90-minute debate featuring the candidates for State Senate District 23 on Monday, May 19, at 7:00 PM. The debate will be in the theatre at White Knoll High School. A straw poll will be conducted at the end of the debate.
The following candidates have been invited to participate in the debate: Senator Jake Knotts, Katrina Shealy, and Mike Sturkie.

WHY: The Lexington County Young Republicans want to provide voters in the
upcoming primary an opportunity to hear where the candidates stand on a variety of issues.
The debate will be conducted by a moderator from the Lexington Chronicle. Each candidate will be provided time for an opening and closing statement, as well as an equal opportunity to answer all questions. The questions will be presented by the moderator.
