McCall Announces Representative Delleney Endorsement

Sponsor of Ultrasound Bill and Marriage Amendment Touts McCall’s Conservative Values

Rock Hill, SC –SC Representative Greg Delleney (R- District 43 - Chester & York) announced today his support for Glenn McCall as the next Republican National Committeeman.  Rep. Delleney was the sponsor of the Ultrasound Bill, legislation that made recent news for requiring that women be notified of their right to view an image of their unborn child before an abortion can be performed.  He was also the sponsor of the Constitutional Amendment that defined marriage in South Carolina as between one man and one woman only.  In 2007, Delleney was presented The Terry Haskins Award by the South Carolina Republican Party for his leadership on conservative issues.

“Glenn McCall was an enthusiastic supporter of both the Marriage Amendment and the Ultrasound Bill.  He worked tirelessly during the 2006 election cycle for passage of the referendum adding the definition of marriage to our South Carolina Constitution. Glenn does not merely talk pro-life, is he pro-life.  He and his wife, Linda, work in the pro-life movement by volunteering at the local York county crisis pregnancy center.”

“Glenn is the best Republican that I know.  He is a true social and fiscal conservative.  Glenn offers the opportunity for our party to broaden the base without sacrificing conservative principles.  Glenn loves South Carolina and the South Carolina Republican Party and he would never disparage our heritage or our history for political gain at the expense of our great state or our great party.”

Glenn McCall, Chairman of the York County Republican Party and Second Vice Chairman of the SC Republican Party, has 23 years of management and financial services industry experience and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He is the first African American Chairman in York County Republican Party history. If elected to the RNC, Glenn would be the only African American to serve on that committee.
