SC Legislative Black Caucus Chairman Endorses Rob Miller for Congress
Columbia, SC ā Today, State Representative Leon Howard of Columbia, Chairman of the South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus, formally endorsed Rob Miller in the Democratic Primary for US Congress in the Second Congressional District.
“Rob Miller is the best choice to bring jobs with good benefits to our community. He fought for us in Iraq and he’ll fight for us in Washington,” Howard said. “I am proud to support Rob and look forward to working with him for positive change.”
Howard’s endorsement comes less than two weeks after prominent Democrats from all over the district, including Columbia Mayor Bob Coble, State Senator Brad Hutto, and State Representative Bill Bowers officially threw their support behind Miller.
“Leon Howard has been a powerful voice for change over the years. I’m thrilled and humbled to have his support for our campaign to bring new leadership and new ideas to Washington,” Miller said.
Miller, who served twice in Iraq, finished 13 years of service with the US Marine Corps in February of this year and now runs a small business with his wife in Beaufort.

I am writing to reach to communicate with Rob Miller in order to congratulate him for his success in the elections. He won big by collecting a sizable number of votes and in becoming a force that will pressure the current administration to perform better. I am hoping that Mr. Miller will stay interested and current with the Congressional endeavors in the future
