Henry McMaster reports “Million Dollar Quarter” in race for governor

Sets new record for funds raised in a single quarter
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Attorney General Henry McMaster’s gubernatorial campaign today announced it has raised more than $1.09 million since McMaster officially launched his campaign for governor five weeks ago.
That total sets a new record for the amount of money raised in a single quarter by any of the candidates running for governor in the 2010 election cycle. HenryMcMaster.com, the official name of the gubernatorial campaign, will report more than $1 million cash on hand when it files its official quarterly financial disclosure later today. McMaster officially launched his campaign for governor on Tuesday, August 25, 2009.
“We are overwhelmed by the support we have received since Attorney General McMaster launched his campaign to put South Carolina back on the Path to Prosperity,” said Attorney General McMaster’s finance chairman Bill Stern. “Our million-dollar fundraising quarter is the strongest statement yet that Attorney General McMaster has emerged as the Republican candidate with the executive experience, maturity and judgment that our state needs in its next governor.”
