Attorney General to endorse Republican House candidate

South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster will visit Greer Friday, June 6 to show his support for Tommy Stringer, Republican candidate for House of Representatives, District 18.

“We need good conservative Republicans like Tommy Stringer to help in the fight against crime and internet predators,” McMaster said. “If we are going to bring positive reform to South Carolina government, we need to support strong fiscal conservatives for office.”

“I am very grateful to Attorney General McMaster for his support,” Stringer said. “I have focused my campaign on better law enforcement, especially concerning the illegal immigration problem, and I look forward to working with him if I am elected.”

The event will take place at Dillard’s Farm & Ice Cream Parlor on 504 S. Buncombe Road, from 6:30 to 8 pm.

Tommy Stringer was elected by the General Assembly to the Coastal Carolina University Board of Trustees in 2006. He serves as board secretary and is chairman of the Audit Committee.

A life-long resident of northern Greenville County, Stringer and his wife, Carrie, have a son. He is active at the First Presbyterian Church Greenville where he has served as deacon and bible-study teacher.. Stringer is a graduate of Bob Jones University and did graduate studies at Clemson.

District 18 includes Blue Ridge, Greer and Taylors.
