Aiken, SC, June 11, 2008 – The Aiken County Republican Party will be holding a victory party for winners of yesterday’s 2008 primary election at a special location tomorrow night, Thursday, June 12, 2008.  Due to scheduling changes at the location where the Aiken County Republican Party has held its meetings for years, the party will be meeting at the Aiken County Historical Museum, 433 Newberry Street SW, Aiken, SC 29801 at 7 p.m.

Local winners of the 2008 primary election are:
* Greg Ryberg, candidate for S.C. Senate District 24,
* Don Smith, candidate for S.C. House District 83,
* Kit Spires, candidate for S.C. House District 96, and
* Linda G. Sharpe, candidate for Aiken County Treasurer.

A runoff election between candidates for S.C. House District 81-Scott Singer and Tom Young-is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24.

Due to the unavailability of the Aiken County Council Building on the second Thursday of each month, Aiken County Republican Party Chairman Dennis Saylor said that party officers are looking for a permanent and preferably free home for meetings that is large enough to accommodate the party’s members.
