Medal of Honor Recipient backing Lexington Senate challenger

LEXINGTON, SC – In a sign of continuing momentum towards the June 24th Republican Runoff for State Senate, Katrina Shealy was endorsed today by Medal of Honor recipient Major General James E. Livingston, USMC (Ret.).  In addition to being a Medal of Honor recipient for his valor in Vietnam and one of the senior ranking retired military officials in South Carolina, General Livingston is also a Board Member and Trustee of the National D-Day museum.

“In these serious times, South Carolina needs Senate leadership that reflects our values and will work for the betterment of our state,” General Livingston said. “I am convinced that Katrina Shealy represents the kind of change that Lexington County needs at this time, and the kind of leadership that will make our community and our state proud.”

“I am deeply honored that General Livingston would give his support to my Senate campaign,” said Shealy. “General Livingston is a legend in the military community and a pillar of our state.  I am grateful for his support and the support of thousands of folks in Lexington County who gave me their votes last Tuesday.”
