WASHINGTON – Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02) issued the following statement today after the latest Democrat no-energy bill failed to pass the House of Representatives. This concludes another week where the Democrat majority failed to address the rise in energy prices.
“Having begun to realize that they are way behind the American people on the need for more drilling onshore and off-shore, House Democrats thought that simply the appearance of having changed their tune on drilling would be enough. But the American people know that political maneuvers like today’s legislation do not do a thing to lower energy prices. In fact, with gas prices well over four dollars per gallon, the American people are literally paying the bill for this Democrat Congress’ failure to take up an all-of-the-above energy policy.”
