Today, Democratic candidate for US Congress Rob Miller responded to Incumbent Republican Congressman Joe Wilson’s speech on the floor of the US House of Representatives opposing the Paycheck Fairness Act, which would help close the undisputed pay gap between women and men.
“Once again Congressman Wilson has demonstrated that he’s been in Washington too long and is out of touch with the folks back home. Congressman Wilson can make up all the excuses he can think of, but women who do the same job, deserve the same pay as men. Not only has he chosen to vote against equal pay for women, he’s leading the charge to defeat basic fairness. People in the Second District deserve a Congressman who will fight for working families – not embarrass them,” Miller said.
