Gresham Barrett will make 3rd trip back to DC since adjournment
Washington, DC – Congressman Gresham Barrett (SC, 3) will return to Washington, DC Monday morning for the third time since Nancy Pelosi sent Congress home for August recess without passing meaningful comprehensive energy legislation. The first time Barrett went to the floor during the Republican Call to Action on Energy, he encouraged the American people to let their voices be heard on this issue. The second time, he read comments made by his constituents in support of domestic energy exploration in response to a survey Barrett recently sent. Monday, Barrett will discuss his recent district-wide energy tour. On the tour, Barrett heard from business owners, school officials, moms and dads, hard-working Americans, who want to see American energy solutions today.
As Democrats celebrate in Denver, Republicans will once again take to the House floor to continue to ask that Congress be called back into session and get to work on behalf of the American people.
