McKissick – Blogging from Minneapolis

Blogging from Minneapolis

Fellow Republicans,

Greetings from way up Nawth!

We’re currently up in Minneapolis for this weeks meeting of the Republican National Committee and, of course, will be staying through next week for all the fun of the Convention.

I wanted to drop you this email and let you know that I’ll be posting blog entries daily while we’re up here to keep you up to date with what’s going on and maybe give a little peek at things behind the scenes.

I’ll be doing so from my perch over at the Conservative Outpost.  So feel free to visit the site and check for daily convention updates and photos.  You can even sign up for a daily email feed from Feedburner or, if you’re really want up to the minute updates, you can sign up for the Twitter feed I’ve set up.

Things went really well with the Platform Committee’s work.  From a conservative standpoint, this year’s platform is actually stronger and better than the previous one.  Today, the full National Committee will be debating the changes to the primary schedule we’ve wanted in order to secure South Carolina’s place as the “First in the South”.

In the meantime, Senator McCain continues to gain in the polls, and it looks like we’re on track for a (fun) productive and unifying convention.
