SENATE BANKING & INSURANCE COMMITTEE TO ADDRESS UNALLOCATED FUNDS FOR AUTISM SERVICES

Senator David Thomas (R-Greenville), chairman of the Senate Banking & Insurance Committee, has called a special meeting to bring questions pertaining to why certain funds budgeted by the General Assembly to the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs were not allocated over the course of the past three years. These unallocated funds, which were to be used for the treatment of children with autism and other pervasive development disorders, came to light in a December report issued by the Legislative Audit Council.

WHAT: A special hearing to discuss insurance, PDD waiver and Department of Disabilities and Special Needs funding for children with autism.

    Senator Thomas, this is your chance to stand with the angles and protect these children from people that are so arrogant that they spend money AS THEY SEE fit, not as directed by law or common sense.

    Protect these children, Senator Thomas…and do the Lord’s work. You will be rewarded for this…
