Senator Bob Corker To Keynote 2009 SCGOP Silver Elephant Banquet

Columbia, SC – Today South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Katon Dawson announced that United States Senator Bob Corker will deliver the keynote address at the 42nd Annual South Carolina Republican Party Silver Elephant Banquet. Sen. Corker is a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina and was elected in 2006 to represent the State of Tennessee in the U.S. Senate.

Chairman Dawson said, “Republicans are thrilled to welcome Sen. Corker back to South Carolina. In a short span of time he has built a reputation as a conservative that offers commonsense solutions to our nation’s toughest challenges. Sen. Corker has been a leader in the fight to restore fiscal responsibility to Washington, making America more energy independent and increasing access to affordable health care for all Americans.
