Pitts to Run for Lt. Governor
Lexington State Rep. to announce via online live feed

State Rep. Ted Pitts will announce Wednesday that he is running as a Republican for Lt. Governor of South Carolina. Pitts will make his announcement through UStream at and will be taking questions online via email and Twitter.

“I wanted to do something a little different for my announcement,” Pitts said. “This way, I will be able to field questions from media across South Carolina, even if the reporter is unable to physically attend my announcement. I am very excited to try out this new media avenue and intend to use it throughout my campaign.”

Pitts has served Lexington County in the S.C. House of Representative since 2003. He is a commercial real estate broker and is a member of the National Guard. Pitts is known in the House as a strong, fiscal conservative.
