CONNOR CAMPAIGN HIRES ELIZABETH DONEHUE
Connor adds fundraising veteran to campaign team
COLUMBIA, SC – The Bill Connor for Lieutenant Governor campaign is pleased to announce it has hired Mrs. Elizabeth Donehue as its campaign fundraiser.
“I am thrilled to have someone with Elizabeth’s skill set joining our team,” said Bill Connor, leading candidate to be South Carolina’s next Lieutenant Governor. “Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience to this race, and we really are blessed to have her working with us.”
Elizabeth Donehue is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the Republican National Committee’s Campaign Finance School. She has worked with successful campaigns around the nation at levels ranging from State House to US Senate.
“South Carolina is facing tough times and we need someone with proven leadership skills to push solid conservative policy through the Statehouse. Bill Connor is someone who knows what South Carolina’s families are facing and he understands that the only way to get our state back on track is to get government out of the way. That’s a message that will resonate with voters and donors in every corner of the Palmetto State,” Elizabeth said in accepting the position.
“As we move out of ‘convention phase’ and into more of a fundraising mode, it really is a treat to have someone like Elizabeth on board,” Connor added. “Elizabeth will be a critical part of our team as we continue to work towards victory in June 2010.”
Bill Connor is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserves who received the Bronze Star for his service in combat as the senior American advisor in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Since returning from deployment, Bill continued his work as an attorney practicing corporate defense law in Columbia, and as the Chairman of the Board of Orangeburg Christian Academy. Bill is a graduate of the Citadel and USC Law School. Bill lives in Orangeburg with Susan, his wife of 18 years, and their three children Peyton, Brenna, and Will. They attend Christ Church of the Carolinas in Columbia.
