MCMASTER NAMES GODFREY COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Rob Godfrey, a communications advisor at the South Carolina House of Representatives Republican Caucus, has been selected by McMaster for Attorney General to serve as communications director.
“We are pleased to welcome Rob Godfrey to our team,” said Attorney General Henry McMaster. “Rob brings with him invaluable experience working not only with members of the media across the state but also with Republican leaders and grassroots activists in every county. He will have an immediate positive impact.”
Prior to working at the House Republican Caucus, Godfrey was communications director of the South Carolina Republican Party under Chairman Katon Dawson. As a member of Chairman Dawson’s team, Godfrey oversaw the party’s communications operation during two live, nationally televised Republican presidential candidates debates, the First-in-the-South Republican Party Presidential Primary and South Carolina Republican Party Victory 2008.
Godfrey’s work with McMaster for Attorney General is effective immediately.
“Like so many across South Carolina, I recognize Henry McMaster’s devotion to the state he loves,” said Godfrey. “Henry McMaster has made improving the lives of South Carolina communities and families his life’s work. He is a leader whom I look up to, and I am honored to join his team.”
