Senator to host town halls for Greenville and Spartanburg residents

COLUMBIA, S.C. – U.S. Senator Jim DeMint will continue his 5th Annual “South Carolina on the Move” Tour in the Upstate on Thursday, August 20, 2009. DeMint will visit 12 cities throughout the state to promote his plan for health care freedom that will make it possible for Americans to have access to personal health insurance and the freedom to make their own health care decisions.

While in the Upstate, DeMint will participate in a town hall breakfast at a local Greenville restaurant. He’ll then tour the NEXT Innovation Center and participate in a Small Business Roundtable hosted by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. Later, DeMint will host a town hall lunch in Spartanburg where he will provide a Washington update and take questions from attendees.
