Citizens from Across the State Urging Robert Bolchoz

to Run for Attorney General

Columbia, South Carolina – August 25, 2009 – A growing statewide grassroots movement is encouraging Columbia businessman and former prosecutor Robert Bolchoz to run for Attorney General. The Attorney General is responsible for protecting the people of South Carolina, enforcing and defending the laws of the State of South Carolina and setting the tone for responsible regulation consistent with, and supportive of, economic expansion across South Carolina.

“Robert Bolchoz has served successfully as a criminal prosecutor, he’s managed a government agency, and he has vast experience in the private sector,” said R. Eddie Adams, President of Lowry Oil Company of Seneca and Chairman of the Oconee County Republican Party. “Robert’s 20 year career as an attorney, prosecutor and businessman give him a unique combination of skills that suit him perfectly to serve as Attorney General,” added Keith Munson, former Military Prosecutor and Greenville attorney.

Bolchoz is a graduate of The Citadel and the University of South Carolina Law School. He started his public service as a Law Clerk for former Governor Carroll Campbell. Bolchoz then served asan Assistant Solicitor and Deputy Solicitor for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Charleston and Berkeley counties. During that time, he was also appointed Special Assistant United States Attorney. For three years, Bolchoz served as Chief Deputy Attorney General to former Attorney General Charlie Condon. After leaving public service, he entered the private practice of law, and for the past 9 years has worked in law and business units with a major international financial services corporation. Bolchoz lives in Columbia with his wife and four children.

“Robert not only earned a reputation as a tough criminal prosecutor, he’s effectively managed dozens of prosecutors across the state,” said former HomeGold prosecutor Sherri Lydon.” “He has extensive corporate law experience and that’s the sort of well-rounded attorney we need serving as the State’s top lawyer-someone who can see issues from numerous legal perspectives,” noted attorney Brad Waring of Charleston, former president of the South Carolina Bar Association.

A small group of businessmen and businesswomen from across the state have joined this movement and are now encouraging others to contact Robert and ask him to once again serve the citizens of this State. South Carolinians wishing to express their support can email him at bolchozforag@gmail.com.
