Loftis Applauds Transparency Vote

COLUMBIA, SC – Republican candidate for State Treasurer Curtis Loftis issued the following statement regarding today’s unanimous vote of the South Carolina House of Representatives to require on the record voting.

Curtis Loftis said, “Without transparency in our government there can be no accountability. My primary goal as state Treasurer will be to bring full transparency to the Treasurer’s office. The people have a right to know exactly how their money is being spent.”

“This much needed reform will help put an end to political double speak. Once signed into law, legislators will no longer be able vote one way and then tell their constituents they voted a different way. This truly is a remarkable day for all South Carolinians.”

Curtis Loftis is a real zealot when it comes to transparency. He spoke to my club this week and got a standing O. We need people to shake up State Government.
