Former Federal and State Prosecutors Endorse Bolchoz for Attorney General

Columbia, South Carolina – May 19, 2010 – Conservative Republican candidate, Robert Bolchoz, today announced three former United States Attorneys and the former Chief of  the South Carolina Statewide Grand Jury have endorsed Bolchoz’s candidacy for Attorney General. Former United States Attorney and Lost Trust Prosecutor Bart Daniel, former United States Attorney John Simmons, former United States Attorney and Deputy Solicitor Johnny Gasser, former Chief of the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office John Barton and former Assistant United States Attorney, Chief of the South Carolina Statewide Grand Jury and Homegold Prosecutor Sherri Lydon join former South Carolina Attorney General Charlie Condon in supporting Bolchoz as the next Attorney General for South Carolina.

“Of all the candidates currently running for Attorney General, Robert is clearly the most experienced prosecutor who has not only prosecuted violent criminals, child molesters and corrupt public officials, but is prepared for the challenges to lead our state,” said Daniel. “I think I speak on behalf of Johnny, John Simmons, Sherri and John Barton, Robert’s reputation as a tough and fair minded prosecutor and his life experiences are critical to moving this state and our communities forward by creating solutions for safer neighborhoods, and a business environment that is free from regulatory bureaucracy.”

“I have tremendous respect for Bart, John Barton, Sherri, Johnny and John Simmons and not only want to thank them for their support, but their many years of public service,” said Bolchoz. “I will fight for tougher penalties for those criminals who prey upon our communities, the elderly, children and businesses throughout the state.”
