Evangelical Leaders Endorse Alan Wilson for Attorney General

Wilson Lauded for 100% Pro-Life Position and Commitment to Faith, Family, and Freedom

West Columbia, S.C. – Republican Candidate for Attorney General Alan Wilson received the endorsement of several prominent South Carolina Christian conservative leaders today including Dr. Bob Jones, III and a 100% Pro-Life rating from South Carolina Citizens for Life.

Both are reflective of Wilson’s commitment to faith, family and freedom.

“I am deeply honored to have support leaders like Dr. Bob Jones, III and a 100% Pro-Life rating from Citizens for Life. As a husband, father, veteran, and former prosecutor, my life experiences have shown me that nothing is more important than our faith, family, and freedom,” Wilson stated.

“As Attorney General, I will continue to fight for faith, family, and freedom and am 100% committed to protecting the lives of all from conception onward,” Wilson continued.

Members of the Wilson for Attorney General Evangelical Leadership Committee include:

Dr. Bob Jones, III is the current chancellor of Bob Jones University located in Greenville, SC where he continues the legacy of his grandfather, Dr. Bob Jones, Sr.  Alan’s devotion to his faith has guided him through life and is one of the many reasons Alan has the unwavering support of Dr. Jones, III.

Dr. Bob Taylor, Dean of Arts and Science at Bob Jones University. Taylor stated, “I like Alan’s experience as a prosecutor and think he would uphold the laws in an effective way.”

Pastor Franklin Raddish, founder of Capitol Hill Independent Baptist Ministries. Raddish stated, “Alan Wilson is a proven leader and a devoted husband and father.  He also is a committed Christian who gives testimony that he knows Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Alan is a man who brings experience, duty, and honor to the office of the Attorney General in South Carolina.”

Dr. David Yearick, Pastor Emeritus at Hampton Park Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, says he knows Wilson as “a loving father” and that Wilson’s Christian education helped enable his leadership today.

Wilson is an Iraq war veteran, former Assistant Solicitor, and former Assistant Attorney General.  A graduate of Grace Christian School in West Columbia, Wilson is a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia.

Wilson and his wife, Jennifer, have two young children, Michael and Anna Grace.
