Gov. Sanford to Welcome ZF Transmissions to South Carolina

Columbia, S.C. – December 8, 2010 – Tomorrow (Thursday, December 9) Gov. Mark Sanford will welcome Dr. Ludger Reckmann, the new CEO of ZF Transmissions South Carolina, at the Laurens Rotary. In July Gov. Sanford joined ZF Group in Friedrichshafen, Germany to announce the company’s decision to expand its operations in South Carolina. ZF will invest approximately $350 million in a new manufacturing facility in Laurens County, and create 900 new jobs.

Dr. Reckmann will brief Rotary members on ZF’s new facility in Laurens County. The meeting will take place at  1:00 p.m. at 126 East Public Square, Community Room, Top Floor, in Laurens. For more information please call Ben Fox in the Governor’s Office.
